Metallurgica San Marco is hiring a SCRAP YARD OPERATOR for a technical-operational role in managing incoming materials. Collaborating with the work team and reporting to the yard supervisor who organizes the department's activities, the candidate will be responsible for various tasks, specifically:
- Changing, inspecting, and storing slag bags produced by the drying, turning, and fume scrubbing plants
- Unloading, sorting, and storing scrap
- Packing scrap and operating the drying plant
- Supplying the furnaces according to established recipes
- Conducting chemical analysis and assessing the value of copper granules and other scrap materials through melting tests in a specialized device
- Replacing foundry operators during meal breaks or for other extraordinary needs
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate has previous experience in a similar role and possesses knowledge, even at a basic level, of metal alloys and scrap materials. The candidate should be proficient in operating handling equipment and preferably hold the relevant updated certifications. A high level of seriousness, motivation to learn, and availability to work in shifts or during the day is required (more details regarding the schedule will be provided during the interview). The company is willing to provide training on the more technical and specific aspects of the role, as well as for obtaining certifications for the handling equipment to be used.
Finishing operator

These individuals will work alongside colleagues and will be trained for their specific tasks, being assigned to one or more department plants. Availability to work in 3 shifts is required.

We are looking for candidates with previous experience, even brief, in metalworking companies. Preferred backgrounds include foundries, die casting, extrusion, etc., but this is not a mandatory requirement.

Extrusion Operator

Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Foundry Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Industrial controller

Metallurgica San Marco is selecting an INDUSTRIAL CONTROLLER to join its workforce.
This figure will interact internally with General Management, Supply Chain Direction, Sales, Administration, Production Manager and Purchasing Office, and externally with accounting and tax consultants.
The resource, respecting the corporate deadlines shared with Management, must guarantee the correct preparation of the company budget, reports, data verification, and a punctual and precise analysis of variances between what was planned and actual results. In this regard, they must identify determining factors and causes. They will also be called upon to identify and propose solutions and strategies aimed at the greatest achievable alignment between real possibilities and objectives.
The controller will be an active part in the configuration and updating of the corporate Management Control system, interfacing with the various parties involved, questioning, and proposing possible adjustments to the operating logic of the model used (drivers, standard costs, attribution logic, etc.).
In addition to the economic-financial side, particular attention must be given to product and process costing and the subsequent identification of the break-even point; they must support with data the analysis of profitability and industrial margin by article and/or product line, business area/market, salesperson, and prepare economic-management reports in this regard. They will support the inventory counting process.
We are looking for a controller, preferably WITH engineering background (but we also evaluate applications from graduates in the economic-financial field) with a strong analytical approach, great familiarity with the systemic and computerized management of data, who has already dealt with industrial controlling and knows the subject of product/process costing. The profile is completed by skills regarding management control on the economic-financial side.

Foundry operator

Metallurgica San Marco S.p.A. is directly hiring 4 operators for its Foundry department, available to work on continuous shift rotations.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in metal processing and transformation environments, such as die casting, foundries, or similar sectors (brass, cast iron, copper, aluminum). We also consider young candidates to be trained for the role. Essential requirements include reliability, punctuality, willingness to work, and a strong desire for professional growth.
Working in collaboration with their team, the selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the casting line, monitoring plant parameters, contributing to the cleanliness and organization of the department and equipment, and ensuring optimal maintenance conditions to achieve production targets, in accordance with the instructions of the Department Manager.
Please note that continuous shift work involves a standard schedule of 3 rotating shifts operating 7 days a week. Days off may fall during weekdays or weekends; therefore, availability to work assigned shifts, including Saturdays and Sundays, is required.

Metallurgica San Marco is looking for a candidate to join its Sales Department, focusing on back-office activities and relations with international customers, with a good command of English and German.
The company, a long-established business in the area, boasts more than 50 years of experience in the production of brass semi-finished products, including both standard and special product ranges customized according to customers’ technical specifications (trading companies, stamping companies, mechanical processing companies, and turning workshops).
RESPONSIBILITIES
The selected candidate will report directly to the Sales Director and will be assigned a portfolio of customers to manage. Responsibilities will include preparing commercial offers, handling related negotiations, entering and managing orders, arranging deliveries and shipments, and coordinating logistics activities in collaboration with colleagues.
The candidate will also manage after-sales complaints by coordinating internally with the Quality and Production departments. For the development of new custom-made products requested by customers, the candidate will initiate the internal feasibility study process by collecting feedback from the various production and service departments involved.
Additional responsibilities include updating and reviewing customer records and price lists on a regular basis or whenever necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
A good command of both English and German is required. In addition to language skills and the interpersonal abilities essential for a customer-facing role, candidates should have a strong aptitude for using IT tools and software applications, as well as for the accurate and digital management of sales data.

FOUNDRY ASSISTANT MANAGER
Metallurgica San Marco S.p.A. is looking for a Foundry Assistant Manager to support the Foundry Manager in overseeing foundry operations and coordinating cross-functional activities with other departments across the plant.
In this role, the Foundry Assistant Manager will work closely with the Yard Manager, Production Planning, Quality Department and other internal functions. The position also involves liaising with external contractors responsible for routine and extraordinary maintenance activities.
The successful candidate will contribute to achieving the department's production targets in terms of quality, quantity and delivery times, ensuring close adherence to the weekly production schedule while minimizing deviations and unexpected downtime.
A key responsibility of the role is the management and coordination of production personnel. This includes assigning tasks, sharing objectives, promoting competence and discipline, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork. The Foundry Assistant Manager will be responsible for identifying, monitoring and addressing production issues, with the objective of reducing non-conformities and improving overall operational performance.
The role requires progressively gaining full autonomy in starting up foundry equipment and production systems, verifying the raw materials used in melting recipes and operating technological equipment for material analysis when required. The successful candidate may also be required to operate material handling equipment whenever necessary.
Autonomy is also essential to participate in the company's on-call rotation during weekends and public holidays, as the foundry operates on a continuous production cycle. Availability for on-call duty is therefore considered a mandatory requirement.
The Foundry Assistant Manager will work alongside the Foundry Manager in supervising daily operations, ensuring that departmental activities are carried out in accordance with company guidelines, production plans and shared operational strategies. The role requires a constant presence on the shop floor, providing support to operators while closely monitoring production progress.
Requirements
- Previous experience in metallurgy, foundries or heavy industrial environments.
- Good knowledge of melting processes and foundry equipment.
- Basic metallurgical knowledge, with the willingness to further develop technical expertise through company training.
- Previous experience in raw material or scrap management environments will be considered an advantage, given the close interaction with the yard and incoming material classification processes.
- Proven experience in leading, coordinating and supporting production teams.
- Strong leadership, authority and people management skills.
- Availability to participate in the on-call rotation during weekends and public holidays (mandatory).
