Innovation and research are the driving forces on which Metallurgica San Marco is investing the most. The new production facilities answer to the highest technological requisites and the managerial organisation of the processes is completely digital and automated. All data is visible live, traceable and so easily verifiable. In addition to the already fruitful collaboration with CSMT and AQM, Metallurgica San Marco has signed important agreements with several universities in Northern Italy for the study of methods and processes which help to improve the efficiency of brass processing and which entail a greater recovery of scrap, thus cutting down on energy consumption and reducing waste and costs. Another facet of research is dedicated to lead-free brass which represents the future of the alloy and requires applications and studies so that it may become a fully workable alloy with significant mechanical features.
