LIBRA, a lead-free brass alloy with a 100% recyclability rate produced by Metallurgica San Marco, gave life to the works of art awarded to outstanding Brescia-based businesses that excelled in economic performance during 2023. Sculpted by artist Edoardo Ferrari, the seven unique pieces captivated the audience at the Teatro Grande in Brescia during the 2024 Financial Statements Gala, an event organized by Gruppo Editoriale Bresciana on November 28th, now in its tenth edition.
Inspired by the trunk of a tree reaching toward the sky, the sculptures made from recycled brass pay tribute to the steady growth and resilience of the awarded companies. Each piece is a testament to sustainability, delivering a powerful message that industry can successfully merge economic achievement with environmental respect.
Every sculpture is a one-of-a-kind creation, molded and cast using a unique technique devised by the artist. With distinctive textures and original shapes, each piece stands as an irreplaceable artistic expression. Alongside the final sculpture, the winning companies also received the prototype and exclusive project of the artwork, a lasting artistic legacy that can be reproduced in various forms and materials.
Through this initiative, Metallurgica San Marco reaffirms its commitment to innovation and the promotion of Italian excellence. LIBRA, an advanced material, transforms into a work of art that celebrates eco-conscious success.
