1 September 2017 – Metallurgica San Marco has focused on innovation and research for the present and the future. In fact the company has signed important agreements with several Italian universities for the study of methods and processes which help to improve the efficiency and the sustainability of brass processing.
In this sense the Brass Manufacturing Optimization project was developed with the University of Brescia: a university team will collaborate with the company’s technical management to produce a replicable and scalable system that optimises the production process, with greater scrap recovery, less waste and lower costs. “We are proud of this partnership – Marco Gambarini, the Metallurgica CEO commented – which, as well as benefiting the sector, also aims at establishing a research centre specialised in this field in Brescia, where about 90% of Italy’s brass is produced“.
