Conceived by the world’s largest car manufacturers, the voluntary IATF 16949: 2016 certification – ex ISO-TS 16949 – is the most stringent and selective reference standard for the automotive market.<\/p>\n
The IATF certified companies in Italy are highly selected, only 1400. In 2019 the Brescia-Bergamo sector exceeded (by number of certified companies) the Turin area, historically engaged in this sector thanks to all the FIAT related industries.<\/p>\n
The reconfirmation of the certification for Metallurgica San Marco – which obtained it for the first time in 2014 – shows how the company from Ponte San Marco has respected the very high standards and the main objectives that it foresees and which are: standardization of processes, increase in supplier performance, attention to customer\u2019s feedback.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo obtain and maintain this certification – <\/i>explains Bruno Cavagnini, MSM Quality Manager<\/b><\/i> – it is necessary to give evidence, year after year, of a continuous improvement of the processes, focusing production activity on product quality and customer satisfaction. This is why important work must be done both in terms of documents and process mapping, drafting of procedures, operating instructions, recordings, verifications and validations in the field. Globally there are about 66,000 IATF certified companies, of which about 44,000 in the Far East (67%), followed by Europe (18%).
